Terms of service (public offer)

This is a public offer (an offer to conclude a contract) by Ala-Too Digital LLC to anyone who books a seat or a vehicle via arashantransfer.com, WhatsApp or otherwise. It follows the provisions of the Civil Code of the Kyrgyz Republic on public offer, acceptance and agency.

The Russian version is the primary legal text. In case of discrepancy the Russian version prevails. Read the Russian version.

1. General provisions and parties

1.1. Agent — Ala-Too Digital LLC (TIN 02509202610160), operating the Arashan Transfer service. The agent acts on behalf of driver-carriers under agency agreements.

1.2. Carrier — a sole entrepreneur licensed for passenger transport who performs the transportation in their own vehicle and is the principal under the agency agreement. The driver's name, phone and the vehicle's plate are sent to you the evening before the trip (for a booking made on the day — before departure).

1.3. Customer — the person who accepts this offer, and the passengers they book for.

1.4. The agent takes bookings and payments, passes the details to the carrier, handles refunds and customer service. The carrier performs the transportation.

2. Definitions

• Departure — the daily trip Karakol — Altyn Arashan leaving at 08:00 from Giraffe Coffee, Zhusaeva St, central Karakol.
• Seat — one passenger seat in a 4x4 vehicle on a departure.
• Round-trip day — a seat to the valley and back the same day; the driver waits in the valley for about 5 hours and leaves back at 16:00.
• One-way — a seat to the valley only or from the valley only (e.g. for trekkers).
• Private vehicle — a whole UAZ-469 (up to 4 passengers) or UAZ-452 (up to 8 passengers) for one group.
• Booking — a customer request confirmed by the agent with a booking number.
• Guaranteed departure — a departure with at least 2 paid seats, or one the agent has confirmed with fewer. On the site it is marked “Guaranteed departure”.
• No-show — the customer did not arrive at the meeting point within 15 minutes after departure time.

3. Subject

3.1. On behalf of the carrier, the agent books a seat (or a private vehicle) for the customer in a 4x4 on the Karakol — Altyn Arashan route, and back if a round-trip day is chosen, and accepts payment. The carrier undertakes to transport the customer on the chosen route.

3.2. The route is a mountain dirt road. Travel time one way is usually about 2.5 hours and can be longer, depending on the road and weather.

4. Booking and acceptance

4.1. The customer chooses the date, trip type and number of seats and gives their name, phone/WhatsApp, email and, optionally, hotel and a comment.

4.2. The offer is accepted by either: (a) paying for the booking online by card; or (b) confirming a booking with payment on the spot — when the customer has sent the request and received the agent's confirmation. From acceptance, the contract is concluded on these terms.

4.3. Seats for today can be booked until 07:45 Karakol time (UTC+6); seats for future dates — at any time. A private vehicle can be booked at any time, including for today; for a same-day private booking the agent agrees the pickup time with the customer in WhatsApp.

4.4. The agent sends a booking confirmation by email (after an online payment, within minutes) and/or WhatsApp. If you have not received it within 12 hours, or by departure time for a trip booked today, please contact us.

4.5. The customer is responsible for the accuracy of the details provided. The agent is not responsible for consequences if the customer cannot be reached on the phone given.

5. Prices and payment

5.1. Prices are in Kyrgyz som:

5.2. Prices may change. Each booking keeps the price valid at the time of booking. USD amounts shown on the site are for information only.

5.3. The price includes transportation on the route. Not included: national park fee (about 300 som, cash at the gate), hot springs / bath house (about 250 som), food and accommodation.

5.4. Payment: online by Visa/Mastercard, or by card or cash on the spot to the agent's representative or the driver before departure. See Payment.

5.5. Online payments are accepted by GG Services Limited (Hong Kong), payment agent of Ala-Too Digital LLC, through the Stripe platform. The card is charged in Kyrgyz som (KGS), exactly the amount shown at booking. If your card is in another currency, your bank converts it at its own rate and may charge a fee. On the card statement the charge appears as ARASHANTRANSFER.

5.6. The agent may pay a referral commission to hotels and hostels that recommend the service. The commission is paid from the agent's funds and does not increase the price for the customer.

6. Departure, lateness, luggage, children, pets

6.1. Departure is daily at 08:00 from Giraffe Coffee, Zhusaeva St, central Karakol. Please arrive by 07:50.

6.2. The driver waits 15 minutes after departure time. After that the customer is treated as a no-show (see section 7).

6.3. The return departure from the valley is at 16:00. A customer who does not come to the return departure within 15 minutes and has not warned the driver makes their own way back; the return part is not refunded.

6.4. A departure runs when at least 2 seats are paid, or when the agent confirms it with fewer. Otherwise the agent informs the customer, and the customer chooses another date or a full refund (see 7.3).

6.5. Luggage: one backpack and one small bag per passenger. Large luggage, bikes and equipment — on request in advance.

6.6. Children under 12 travel only with an adult. Child seats are available on request, subject to availability. A child's seat is charged as a regular seat unless agreed otherwise.

6.7. Pets — on request, agreed with the agent in advance.

7. Cancellation and refunds

7.1. Customer cancels 24 hours or more before departure — 100% refund.

7.2. Less than 24 hours or no-show — no refund. One free date change is possible if seats are available on the new date.

7.3. Cancelled by the agent or carrier (weather, river, road, vehicle fault, fewer than 2 seats) — full refund or another date, at the customer's choice.

8. Weather, road and safety

8.1. The road to Altyn Arashan depends on weather, river level and road condition. The driver decides whether it is safe to go. The driver's decision on safety is final.

8.2. If a departure is cancelled in advance, the agent will tell you the evening before where possible.

8.3. If the driver has to stop or turn back for safety reasons and the valley was not reached, the full price is refunded. If the valley was reached but the return had to change, the agent and carrier will handle it fairly: arrange the return at the first safe opportunity or refund the unused part.

8.4. The driver may refuse to carry a passenger who is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or whose behaviour endangers safety. No refund is given in that case.

8.5. Passengers must wear seat belts where fitted and follow the driver's instructions.

9. Responsibility

9.1. The agent is responsible for correct booking, passing the details to the carrier, accepting payment and making refunds under this offer.

9.2. The carrier is responsible for the transportation: a roadworthy vehicle, required documents and safe driving.

9.3. The customer is responsible for their own health, clothing and equipment, their belongings and following national park rules.

9.4. The valley is at about 2,500 m above sea level. Altitude symptoms are possible. There are no medical facilities in the valley and mobile coverage may be absent. If you have health conditions, consult a doctor before the trip.

9.5. The hot springs in the valley are natural and unsupervised. Bathing is at your own risk. The agent and carrier are not responsible for springs or bath houses.

9.6. We recommend travel insurance that covers mountain trips.

9.7. The agent and carrier are not liable for delays and changes caused by weather, natural events, government decisions or other circumstances beyond their control.

10. Personal data

By booking, the customer consents to the processing of their personal data, including cross-border transfer, to fulfil the booking. See the Privacy policy.

11. Claims and disputes

11.1. Send claims via WhatsApp +996 777 889 992 or to hello@arashantransfer.com with your booking number. We reply within 3 business days.

11.2. The parties will try to settle any dispute by negotiation. Failing that, disputes go to the courts of the Kyrgyz Republic.

11.3. The contract is governed by the law of the Kyrgyz Republic, including consumer protection legislation.
